What are the office hours?

Dr. Mediratta works Monday - Thursday roughly 10AM - 6PM, and will promptly return messages received during those times, typically within 24 hours. This includes medication refill requests.

What is the office cancellation policy?

Dr. Mediratta has a two business day cancellation policy. Cancellations outside of this window are billed at the full fee amount. Exceptions can be made for emergencies.

How do I refill my medication?

If you are writing to request medication refills, please confirm name, dosage, pharmacy. Please note, medication refill requests are preferred during the work days specified above. Refills are NOT routinely sent in on the weekends, so if making a request Friday - Sunday, it will likely be filled Monday, before noon.

What do I do about the stimulant shortages?

The seemingly never ending stimulant shortage persists, and is immensely frustrating for everyone involved. If your local/regular pharmacy does not have the meds in stock, you have several options. The first is that you can call other pharmacies and ask if they have your meds in stock, then ask me to send another Rx electronically. This will vary in its efficiency, as pharmacies appear to prefer their long standing customers, and won’t always give you the information. There is a relatively new service called Medfinder (https://www.medfinder.com) that, for a fee, will help source your medicines, and then give you and me the pharmacy info to send another Rx. Please be aware that if using their service, I will still only send Rx’s during the days/times I am in the office. So I recommend using it Sunday - Wednesday such that I can send a Rx when it’s sourced. Another good option would be to find out your mail order pharmacy details from your prescription insurance provider, as they will fill 90 day prescriptions, thereby making it a quarterly frustration rather than a monthly one.

Do you take insurance?

Dr. Mediratta is an out-of-network provider and does not accept payment directly from any insurance carriers. You will be provided with a detailed bill including diagnosis codes and CPT codes to submit for out of network reimbursement.

What age range do you treat?

Dr. Mediratta treats children, adolescents, and adults.

How do I start the process?

Please reach out through our email, phone, or the contact form on our website. The office manager will reach out following to collect basic demographic information, and then either set up a brief call with Dr. Mediratta, or schedule the first consultation appointment. The consultation is a process over several sessions to determine fit and develop treatment plan collaboratively.
